Text scam… SIM CARD number!
The cellphone no. 09104479296 texted me saying that my sim card number had won 750,000Php through an electronic raffle draw last SEPT. 19, 2008 from PGMA CHARITY FOUNDATIN… And for me to be able to claim the prize i should call Secretary Joey B. Chua from the Information Department per DTI-NCR no. 2136 series of 2008…
I just hope there be a “better” solution to STOP this non-sense text messages saying “we won” using PGMA’s Foundation… Can anybody do something from those kind of “stu.. people” texting???!!! grrr… For those texting those messages! GET A LIFE!!! PRAY FOR EVRYBODY’s SOUL!!!

In order to get my car and cash, I had to send PhP 5,900 for car insurance to Nestor Castro Villa, Senior VP in one hour. Unable to do the transaction immediately, they started calling me one after another trying to convince me it was not a hoax. But they never gave me enough proof. Villa even flared up when I suggested it was a scam. He wrote: We regret to inform u that ur prizes has been forfeited due to lackof interest. Publication follows d day after 2moro at Phil Star. Will also send you formal letter ur adres. Bter luck next time!!! Verfy permit number 0292 seris 2009 prize forfeited. Pag katapos ninyong mag verify wag na po kayong tumawag.
When I said he was inconsiderate, he wrote again: Wala akong pakialam sa iyo maniwala kayo o hindi basta mag verify ka kasi dilahat nang pilipino manloloko ok sayang mulang oras ko bobo ka.
Then again another sms: Ikaw ang may sabi na scam ito kaya jan na yong permit number mag tanong kayo sa tamang agency ok wag maging bobo pinagod mulang ako.
Then when I still did not respond, Angela King called and told me to apologize to Villa and he will reconsider. I never called nor texted back. Gomez even miss-called me thrice. They stopped eventually.
Several reasons why it’s a scam: The Christian Dior office in Cebu Mandaue does not exist, there’s no Phil Com Center office either, if the draw was in July, why were they insistent I send the money in an hour when they validated a 2-month delay on the raffle already, and they could not give me info on the plate number of the car. If there’s a true promo, car should have been bought and identified prior to raffle.
Thanks to Warrior at this site, I became even more convinced it was a scam. Details very similar. Let’s all be more vigilant.

Hi all please beware with this kind of scam, i also received that king of text message, when i just read it for the first time, im reallt convinced that it was a spam, i tried to call the number, and i say please stop!, and a male voice speak, “ah ganon, tingan mo gagawin ko sa cellphone mo mya, pasasabugin ko yan”.. then i hang up the phone after 5 mins i received a series of text message from that number and the context is unreadable,special characters and with the word “Kriminal” at the end of each message. so i ignore and just delete those message then suddenly i notice my phone working too slow, thats unusual for my phone na 2 years ko na gamit, and this morning when im on call, may call was automatically stopped after 35 seconds and the other party said that my voice is chappy and blurred, eventhough my location that time has excellent signal, i try to call other number and the same quality of voice and again stopped after 35 seconds… so by this tima ganun pa din kahit nasa ibang lugar nako. so i there fore conclude na yung ma nareceived ko mga message ay hack sa phone.. its ok lang kung masira yung phone but pano kung nakahooked sila, tampered yung line… it is not secured.. mahirap na. so i decided to look into this cases to the internet, so sa naranasan ko ako pa palang ata nakaranas ng ganito, somebody from the NTC should be looking on this type of crime!

After finding this website, I sent them a txt saying that I would go to the Police and report this.
got a text message that i won a toyota avanza + 300K this morning Christian Dior and PHil. Information Center electronic raffle and to call Jay Roa…. I called them on my landline — I got excited a bit, he asked me to call a Mr. Acosta (the guy spelled it as ACUSTA). When I called Acosta he asked me to send my phone number since they need to confirm my number, so I did – they know my number anyway. HOwever, at the back of my mind — i know it’s sort of a scam. I dont think a product like Dior will not publish or advertise such raffle – i did not stop surfing looking for proof that there is indeed a raffle done by Christian Dior — thank GOD for this site!
I have just received a couple of text messages today from Phil. Information Center saying that my mobile number was randomly selected through an electronic raffle done last December 15, 2009, and has just won a 2010 TOYOTA VIOS.
Knowing that it is a possible Text Scam, I called them and fished on some of their information including the process and requirements on how to claim the said prize. They, in fact have given me list of requirements that needed to be sent through LBC. Least did they know I was also searching on the information through the Internet.

i’m settled in italy and when i received the txt scam, i called and they asked me to send my data and call back, tapos when i called back, the requirements to claim my prize through western union is to buy 5 (not 3) talk and text prepaid and 5 (not 3) smart buddy prepaid dahil kailangan daw yung secret pin as serial number for the claims… asus nagmahal ang presyo!!!! lintek kung ang nakareceive is talagang hoping for a miracle, kakagat, muntik na ako eh. Nung sinabi kong walang smart dealer dito sa italy maghanda na lang daw ako ng 10k pesos sila na raw ang bahala!!!! iwewestern union ko na lang daw sa kanila and refundable naman daw…. MAKARMA SANA KAYO!
I just received today a similar text jus like the others here’s what it say’s (BSP) inform u that ur sim no.Had won (780,000.00) thru electronic raffle draw. Pls. call me now, I’m Rafael A Cruz, DTI per#.0004 s-2010. Can somebody from the government to trace who’s repsonsible to stop this scam. Buti na lang naisip ko agad na tignan sa internet ang ganitong klaseng panloloko, sana bad karma ang maranasan nyo.
all i can suggest is that sim card in the philippines shouldnt be sold just anywhere. one should have a proof of identity before buying and can olny give it up to a third party. in this system a network can identify the user of and any valid complaint and somehow can avoid these kind scams.
