I recieved a very similar e-mail to that listed above. There is such a thing as the Fondazione Di Vittorio, am I correct? They did not ask for anything but address, sex, occupation, normal requests. How would they be able to scam me with that information, and how does one know if it is official or a scam?

Yes, Fondazion Di Vittorio does exist and its a legit company, but this email only uses the name of the company to scam people. For this post, the reply to is mrsfatima_executivesecretary@yahoo.it. If this is really from Fondazion Di Vittorio, the email should be like info@fondazionedivittorio.it, not some free email where anybody can use and fool people they got an email from a real company.

I also received a similar e-mail, however, the reply-to e-mail is ecowasdispatchunit@yahoo.ie
It also didn’t have the “declaration” section in the e-mail. The executive secretary is stated to be Giovani Galantucci.
Is this a scam also?

Never trust emails sent from free email service (yahoo mail, hotmail etc) especially if they represent a big and legit company. Always ask them to email back using the company email whic in this case should have @fondazionedivittorio.it.

I also received the above email saying I had been awarded $2,500,000.00. However, it did not have the declartion page with it. I was instructed to contact the Executive Secretary for qualification documentation and processing of the claim. It stated after contacting their office I would be given a pin number to use in collecting the funds.
Executive Secretary name - Mr Antonio belleti. Email address to respond to was antoniobelleti@yahoo.it. The letter was from Mrs. Lowra Sigmo, a Foundation Officer. LEGIT??? I doubt it.

Anything that is related to Nigeria or Spain or a huge lump sum of money is false. I’ve been thru something similar and lost alot of money and owed my bank everything. They will eventually ask you for your account number, saying that it’s the last step or ask you to front your money for the transaction deal. i.e: they need 5000.00 to transfer every 2,500,000.00 dollars. or another good one is the one where they put your name onto someone’s will and you just sign the next of kin certificate and they’ll take care of the rest. scams, scams, scams. They make you get all excited then … boom, you end up owing your bank, or the gov’t. some of these are from the gov’t too, so be careful….it’s called laundering money. yes, that’s what you are helping those people do. except, you launder them real money and you’re left with the tampered check that you cashed, whatever the case may be. Word is out that they did that to a former KGB and he lost several million in hopes of getting a few billion and now he’s on his way to get these guys. I hope he does. Well, take care everyone. These are all scams.

I rec’d a similar email confirming I am awarded from Sir Ray Basil, London informing me of a grant of Imillion $, also informing to contact John Fowler of Citi Bank, London or their Universal Diplomatic Service or Global Trust Security for arrangemnt to collect the $$$. Is this a ’scam’??
They even advised that a memebr of the Diplomatic Service people will deliver the package personally, to Penang, Malaysia, I am getting nervous on what to do??
Please advice me HELP!!!!

I’m just curious how i can stop reciving these type of email….i get them all the time, some one has died and they need some one to take the money, or ive won the uk lottery i dont know how manys….ya right…etc but i dont even want to recive these kind of emails is there a way to stop them with out spending whole lots of money?

Nowadays do not believe on easy money. This kind of modus operandi is very easy to detect that it is a scam. Who will give you such amount of money without proper documentation?

The website is totally written in Italian; can’t understand much of it; looks like some sort of political activist group with links to education, science, social groups of some sort. It even has pictures of the CEO and his peers; looks legit, but I don’t trust it.
I replied back and told them if they truly were legit to send me a certified cashier’s check only; I won’t give them any banking information whatsoever.
Sure, I’d like to have the one time cash grant donation of US$500,000, who wouldn’t?

I received the same letter today(3/09/2008)same qualification number as everyone else.being the victim of a recent Canadian scam, I was very skeptical about this whole transaction. Did some research. Foundation is real but the foundation is set up to scam scam scam.I receiveat least 3 emails a day telling me I have won the lottery by random computer email draw. also a scam. These people including the Vittorio Foundation are trying to launder money and steal money from Americans. Read the email then delete them.I will respond to them with”NOT IN THIS LIFETIME”
