I received this exact same scam email. At first I was hopeful, I took a chance and opened the word doc attached, the cheese-y formatting and poor syntax made it obvious that this was not the work of the real FIFA organization.

Hey don’t even respond to those scam artist, they send randomly to all cell numbers and email addresses and hope to find someone gullible enough don’t be that victim!

U should ignore these kind of mails, Can’t imagine this being true. My fiance received an sms. I told him it is a scam and he said that it wasn`t. I google this and am now gonna show him that this is bullshit!!!!

Thanks for this otherwise he would have believed it. No telling how far he would have gone with this.

Guys this is a scam!! I knew from the moment the first e-mail came through. Ask yourselves one question why do they use a “yahoo” e-mail address, if they have so much money to give away shouldn’t they be able to have their own website???? Think People THINK!!!

I received the same email, saying I have won more than $3million and that I should claim from a company in UK. They asked me to fill up a form which I have to send back. They sent me a letter of the power of attorney which I have to fill in and send back. The name of this law firm is Oasis Notaries in United Kingdom. Everything looks real but I strongly suspect it’s a scam. Please guys watch out for these scam, you may end up loosing everything you have. This thing is like this when you try to google search their law firm, it is indeed there. There is a law firm by the name Oasis Notaries. So people may eventually tend to believe this because when you try to follow it up, you would find it on internet. Thank you and watch out…

Please help! I recieved an email from this Fifa 2010 Award Organisation saying I won $2,800,000. They said i won with my cell number(as part of the cellphone provider involement in the World Cup). They told me 2 email this other person. After I emailed him i recieved a form that I was required 2fill,which I did. I then recieved an email from a law firm stating that I should get at attorney 2 handle the transfer. I have a batch number and reference number aswel. I even googled the law firm and it does exsist..please help by emailing me.

Also got the same sms claiming i have won 2.8 mil us dollars. I cant remember entering for anything and there is no such thing as they picked email addies or cell numbers randomly. According to them there are only 2 south africans that won….so i wonder who of you all are frm SA.

I got a similar sms via cellphone to contact Mr Chris @ fifaaward01@yahoo.com.hk. I’m supposed to respond and quote a reference number sent to my phone. Apparently my cell number was a winning number. So basically, we’re all millionaires?! I’ve apparently won US$2.8 Million.

The details for claiming are to contact Mr Chris at a yahoo mailbox in Hong Kong.

U guys wont beliv this but i woke up to the same e-mail this morning. However having read so many articles on lottery scams, i just knew it. U CANT WIN LOTTO IF U NEVER BOUGHT A TICKET.

Thanx for ur comments as this helps a lot n keeps people in light. I’ve reported this to the police n i wont give this guys anything. They write the same letter to millions of pple. This Mr Beleza doesnt exist.
